About the Department
The Operations Control Office (DSK) is part of the Naval Staff and a department within the Navy's Material Office. DSK designs and procures technical maintenance, both preventive and corrective, for all naval material of the Armed Forces. We work closely with the Defence Materiel Administration and the industry. The unit consists of about 90 employees distributed across four locations.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare preventive and corrective maintenance needs, in dialogue with users on ships and boats, and convert them into orders to suppliers
- Control and ensure quality (through documentation review, inspections, etc.) of maintenance performed after work has been completed by the supplier
- Provide input for the maintenance budget and conduct financial follow-up of placed orders
- Follow up on the status regarding material (including spare parts, documentation, maintenance debts, material controls, and performance verification) and propose actions
- Participate in and provide technical system support during analysis work, studies, development, and procurement of new and modified material systems with included subsystems and documentation
- Engage in dialogue regarding orders/reviews with suppliers and users
- Represent the customer within your technical area against other technical parties within the Armed Forces, the Defence Materiel Administration, and the industry
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Engineer or technical education at least at the upper secondary level or other relevant work experience in the field
- Experience with ship systems, systems work, requirements management, and operation and maintenance of these
- Communicates fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, and has good knowledge of technical English in the relevant technical area
- Driver's license B
- Good computer skills

DESIRABLE
- Knowledge of ship technical systems, especially related to the telecommunications sector (IT/Networks/Sensors, etc.)
- You have experience in technical systems work and maintenance within the ship technology area on the Navy's ships and boats
- Experience in handling technical information in both paper and digital formats, as well as experience using operational follow-up systems
- Service on board Swedish naval vessels

Employment form: The position is a permanent employment that begins with a 6-month probationary period if you are not already employed by the Armed Forces. The position is civilian. Employment rate: Full-time. Work location: Karlskrona. Start date by agreement.
The position includes business travel, mainly within Sweden.
